Diplomacy is the practice of building and maintaining relationships and conducting negotiations with others through mutual respect and tact. Science diplomacy has gained a growing importance to reach global policy goals and address some of the world’s most pressing challenges – from climate change to public health. There are a broad set of skills that scientists can use to provide their scientific expertise and build relationships with different stakeholders to inform and support evidence-based decision-making for the advancement of global science priorities.
